Sylvain Cooperage, near Saint-Emilion, makes 100% French oak barrels. With over three generations of experience Sylvain Cooperage has grown to be one of the leaders in the wine barrel market.
Balancing tradition and innovation, it offers a customised product range to cater to the needs of the winemakers in famous wine estates around the world.
Cooperage Meyrieux
Cooperage Meyrieux, located in Burgundy, joined Famille Sylvain in 2010. Dynamic and artisanal, Cooperage Meyrieux focuses on preserving their unique know-how by making barrels of character, driven by a never-ending desire to improve quality by combining traditional and modern techniques
Marc Grenier
Marc Grenier established his lightning factory in the heart of Burgundy in 1982. In 2015, he joined forces with Famille Sylvain to pass on his expertise, to ensure the quality of his large barrels remains paramount.
Both families share the same philosophy and desire to maintain a business on a human scale through artisanal craftsmanship.
